Up for sale is a stunning, large-scale original vintage floral painting featuring a vibrant bouquet of yellow and white daisies/chrysanthemums against a heavily textured blue-grey background.
This substantial statement piece measures approximately 24\" x 36\" and displays beautifully. The painting features pronounced dimensional texture and expressive palette-knife/brush work, creating wonderful depth as the surface catches the light. It is housed in a simple brown wooden frame that complements its mid-century Clearly signed “M. Katsilometes” along the lower edge. Research identifies a Pacific Northwest artist and iconographer named Mary Katsilometes; however, this painting has not been independently authenticated as her work and is being sold based on the visible M. Katsilometes signature.
Provenance: Acquired near the California-Oregon border region.
Dimensions: Approximately 24\" wide x 36\" high. Please refer to photographs and confirm exact dimensions before purchase.
Style: Mid-Century Modern / Impressionist / Textured Impasto / Palette-Knife Floral

Condition:
Very good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. The colors remain vibrant and the heavily textured painted surface presents beautifully. The wood frame shows normal wear consistent with age. Please examine all photographs carefully, including the close-up photograph of the actual artist\'s signature, as they form an important part of the condition description.
A striking large-format vintage original that would display beautifully above a credenza, sideboard, console or sofa and should appeal to collectors of mid-century decorative art and regional Pacific Northwest artwork.
Signed M. Katsilometes — original artwork, not a print.
