Most likely the prior owner signature on a blank page at the front of this book is the George Eldridge who invented the 1903 Eldridge Truck and one was restored and is in the Iowa Trucking Museum . I could not find any info online about his middle initial. The middle initial in this book is an I written in pre 1950’s cursive and that matches the time frame after this book was printed. This book was printed in 1893 and Eldridge invented the truck 10 years later in 1903 and so this matches the time frame too. I will include the paper I printed off the internet about the 1903 Eldridge which is the last picture. For the size of this book it is 7 5/16 inches in height by 5 1/8 inches wide by 7/8 inches thick and weighs 15.1 ounces. The pages are browned(foxing). The spine cover is worn at the top and bottom. The corner covers are bumped and worn some. The inside of the front at the spine is starting to crack a little and you can also see this cracking between pages 58 and 59. There is a slight tear and a crease at the bottom of page 121/122. There is a small black mark on the back cover.
