This is an outstanding Japanese porcelain celadon bowl by renowned ceramic artist Takai Susumu of Myoko Ware, created as an exhibition piece selected for the 1989 Traditional Crafts Exhibition (Dento Kogei Exhibition). Accompanied by its original signed wooden box, artist biography, and original cloth, this work represents an excellent example of modern Japanese ceramic artistry.
The bowl features an elegant Celadon (Seiji) glaze, exhibiting a tranquil pale blue-green tone that has long been admired in East Asian ceramics. Covering the entire surface is a beautiful network of natural crackle glaze (Kannyu/Craquelure), creating a delicate web-like pattern that adds remarkable depth and visual texture. These fine crackles are a prized characteristic of high-quality celadon, developing naturally during the firing process and making every piece completely unique.
