Exceptional Hizen Large Charger Dish of  of the Earlier Edo Period - Late 18th Century made almost certainly for export to Europe. The dish depicts a superb rendition of a landscape costal scene with mountains, an island dwelling and a fleet of ships all in a beautiful rich Underglaze Cobalt blue decoration with a \"cafe aux lait\" border. Simply and Stylistically drawn like all of the Japanese finest porcelain of this period.
Similar examples can be found also in the famous Kyushu Ceramic Museum of Saga, Japan and others.
