Offered is a six-piece assortment of historic copper coins from the Indian princely states, including issues attributed to Mewar (Udaipur), Junagadh, and Nawanagar.
The lot includes a square Mewar ¼ anna dated VS 1999 (1942), a round Mewar ½ anna dated VS 1999 (1942), an octagonal Mewar 1 anna dated VS 2000 (1943), an additional Mewar ½ anna-type coin, a Junagadh dokdo, and a Nawanagar dokdo-type coin.
These coins feature a variety of shapes and inscriptions in Devanagari and Persian-derived scripts. The Mewar pieces include the historic “Dosti London” inscription, referring to friendship with London.
All six coins are circulated and ungraded. Expect age-related wear, toning, discoloration, and surface marks. Exact dates and varieties of some pieces have not been independently confirmed.
