·HO scale, Norfolk Southern (NS) GE ES44AC diesel engine made by ScaleTrains. The manufacturer’s number is SXT33615. The engine number is 8100.
·This NorfolkSouthern (NS) engine has the “Nickel Plate Road (NPR) Heritage” paint scheme.
·In 2012, Norfolk Southern Corp.celebrated its 30th Anniversary in a big way and painted a total of twenty (20)Heritage Units with each one wearing a special paint scheme commemorating apredecessor railroad. This Nickel Plate Road engine is a model of one of those engines.
·This enginewas announced in July, 2025, delivered in June, 2026 and is currently out of stock.
·This is a DCoperated engine and is DCC ready with an installed 21-pin MTC connector. Perthe operator’s manual, this ES44 should accept any 21-pin DCC decoder.
·Other than mybench testing, it does not appear that this engine has ever been run. Upon close examination, I could not find anyissues with this engine what-so-ever. Itappears to be gorgeous and perfect.
