H. A. OGDEN original plates (13) in Barrie Portfolio, Part 5 Folder For Sale

This is an antique collector\'s assembled lot. It features a genuine mix of early 1890s George Barrie subscriber plates by H. A. Ogden (which were originally issued without imprints) alongside several plates from the standalone 1908 edition bearing the official\"Lith. by G.H. Buek & Co. N.Y.\"publisher\'s imprint. All 13 prints are genuine period antiques, not modern reprints.These 13 plates are from the highly celebrated Standard Edition, often called the Subscriber\'s Edition, of George Barrie\'s THE ARMY AND NAVY OF THE UNITED STATES (1889-1895). Plates were printed on heavy, un-watermarked woven wood-pulp cardstock...eventually becoming very brittle and dry paper. They have remained stored in the cover boards ever since.
Please study the pictures carefully for condition. I don\'t claim to be an expert on these plates, but I do know how beautiful they look, despite some with frayed edges. Would be great carefully framed or to fill out your own collection.
Will be shipped in a double-corrugated cardboard box, with plates and boards individually packed and padded, UPS Ground being the best shipper for this sized item.
