I wanted to take a moment to thank you for our recent conversation about your print [The Conversation]. You have a way of speaking about your work that makes the lines and curves feel alive, almost as if they’re breathing right there on the paper.

When I first saw the piece, I was struck by its movement — the way the forms seem to gallop right out of the frame. It reminded me of the kind of storytelling I’ve always admired: nothing forced, just an honest flow that carries you along.

You mentioned that each stroke is deliberate, yet open to interpretation. That’s a rare balance, and it’s something I think actors and painters share — the ability to guide an audience without ever taking away their freedom to feel.

I’m grateful you shared the story behind the print. It’s not just a work of art; it’s a \"conversation\" in itself, one I’ll be happy to revisit every time I look at it.

Guillaume Azoulay was born in Casablanca, Morocco in 1949.
Arrived in the USA in 1976. Now one of the most recognized and popular of American artists.

In 1983, Azoulay was chosen to create the official Kentucky Derby Festival Poster. His series of horse-racing etchings capture the spirit and vitality of racing\'s most important competitions: Kentucky Derby, Preakness, and the Belmont.

An early critique of Azoulay\'s talent perhaps says it best, \"A young man whose varied and prolific work lets us predict a very bright future. (Mr. Daniel Serrulaz Chief Curator Musee Du Louvre, Paris, France, 1978)
