Gorgeous Rare Restored Antique 23” Composition & Cloth Baby Doll Hendren Baby For Sale

Restored from water damage made it necessary to also make a new torso. It’s identical to original. This doll is a very special doll made to be a companion doll to Horsman’s Hoesman Baby (pictured side by side) I also located them in both Ursula Mertz Composition Doll reference books and have included pics of both entries. Btw, I can’t recommend these books enough. They have been invaluable to me and sort of a wish book also 😁 Anyway, this little big man has the best curly hair sculpt, really deep set eyes. Eyes are tin, original, with excellent lashes. He has an open mouth with 2 upper teeth and a felt tongue. His composition arms are both bent at the elbows and he has super chubby baby legs. Cloth torso is new but contains his original super soft stuffing as well as his silent crier box. He is dressed in a same vintage baby blue romper. It is artfully pinned to fit properly in the crotch so I discourage you from removing it as you may never get it to fit right again. Unless you’re going to change his clothes permanently, that is. He wears white socks and same vintage baby/crib shoes. His eye color used to be blue but I tinted them brown because the blue just looked dead. The whites of the eyes and teeth have also been repainted.
