A 1999 Gibson Custom Shop Byrdland Vintage Sunburst has arrived! *Please note that this guitar does not come with a certificate of authenticity, and manuals are missing. Based on the serial number and specifications, we have determined it to be a 1999 model.
While it shares the same body shape as the L-5, giving it a similar appearance at first glance, it features a thinner body for a more comfortable fit. The body is constructed with a spruce top and flame maple back and sides.
The neck is a 5-piece construction of maple and walnut, with an ebony fingerboard. The neck shape is slightly thinner and easier to grip.
The hardware is all gold-plated, and the guitar boasts a luxurious feel with a tailpiece engraved with "BYRDLAND." It is equipped with two original "57 Classic" pickups. The 57 Classic, a reproduction of the vintage "PAF" pickup, pairs well with this hollow-body guitar, featuring crisp high-mids and sweet harmonics.
Regarding the condition, there are scratches, dents, and paint cracks throughout the instrument. There are signs of repair and repainting on the back of the neck.
Also, there is deformation and cracking on the pickguard. The front pickup ring has been replaced from the original.
While there are signs of use, this is a rare Birdland guitar, not many of which are available on the used market, so please consider it!
