This GORGEOUS cotton red and green appliquequilt is hand pieced, hand appliqued and handquilted, with an unusual oak leaf, hearts, and stars designs done in an overall four block configuration.It measures 76\" X 78\" and is in good condition, with the light age spotting and surface dirt in places and no wear. A handful of pieces have been carefully replaced by hand with similar solid fabric from the era.
There is hand quilting around and within the applique and in diamond, heart, floral, and other designs in the background, all at 7 stitches to the inch.
The back is white, the hand stitched binding is solid red, and the batting is thin. You can see cotton seed residue inside when you hold the quilt up to the light.
