The fort is nicely painted by original owner and looks great (in my opinion!). I was unable to find a solid inventory of what came in this kit, so what you see in the photos is what you will receive EXCEPT for the soldiers and mounted figures, which I placed to show some scale.
The next to last photo shows a building and gate that do not appear to have come with the kit, so those are extras.
The roofs of the buildings do NOT come off, I tried to remove gently and did not want to try and force it, so assume they cannot be removed.
