The vintage Flatt & Scruggs songbook contains photographs, song lyrics and biographical/promotional material relating to the legendary bluegrass performers and the Foggy Mountain Boys. Songs include “The Ballad of Jed Clampett,” “Angel Band,” “McKinley\'s Gone,” and “Give Me Flowers While I\'m Living.”
Also included are two original vintage black-and-white photographs, one featuring the Suggins Brothers and one featuring the Goins Brothers, with handwritten signatures.
This is a great little grouping for a collector of bluegrass history, country music memorabilia, vintage musicians, autographs and banjo/folk music.
Condition: Vintage/acceptable condition. The songbook has significant age and handling wear, including extensive loss of the pink cover finish, edge/corner wear, discoloration, foxing and staining. Interior pages show age toning and handling wear. The photographs show age toning, spotting and handling wear. Both photographs have handwritten signatures. Please examine all photos carefully, as they are part of the condition description.
