A beautiful antique Art Deco solid 18k gold five diamond engagement ring, marks of Barnet Henry Joseph & Co., 1917.This lovely antique Art Deco solid 18k yellow gold ring makes the perfect engagement ring with a line of five gorgeous prong-set diamonds with a mixture of Old Mine cuts and Old European cuts which all glitter and sparkle wonderfully when they touch the light, the diamonds in a long oval setting with a pretty pierced and carved gallery leading to a gently graduating band-an absolutely stunning engagement ring! The ring has English hallmarks inside the band with maker\'s mark \'BHJ\' for the famous 19th/20th Birmingham jeweler Barnet Henry Joseph & Co, the crown for gold, \'18\', the Birmingham anchor and date letter \'S\' for 1917. The ring tests for 18k gold.The ring sits between a 6 1/4 and a 6 1/2 (closer to a 6 1/2).The ring measures approximately 15mm x 3.5mm across the gemstones. The diamonds measure approximately 3mm and total about 1/2 carat. The ring rises about 4mm above the finger and weighs approximately 3.55 grams.The ring is in very good condition with all over general wear. Seen under a loupe the diamonds have only light wear.
