This fairy lamp is stunning! The Fenten raised signature is on the bottom (photo 9).
Hard to see defects: The top rim of the top has a few tiny fleabites (photo 11,12) and the bottom rim of the top has one tiny fleabite (photo 5). The rim inside the bottom has 2 tiny fleabites; and the top edge of the bottom has a small scratch (photo 13). There are no cracks.
The Inverted Strawberry pattern is named for the way its strawberry design is arranged on the glass. In this Fenton pattern, the strawberries and leaves are molded in raised relief and are positioned so that the “top” of the strawberry design faces downward when the lamp is viewed from the base UP— the opposite of the more common “upright” pattern where the fruit appears to grow upward from the base. In other words, the pattern is “inverted” because the strawberry motif is flipped vertically compared to the standard orientation. The raised strawberries, leaves, and diamond‑point lattice are molded so that the fruit appears to “hang” or be oriented upside‑down relative to the lamp’s base. It weighs 1 lb. The top measures 3 3/4\" tall X 2 7/8\" wide at the widest. The bottom measures 2\" tall X 3.5\" wide at the widest.
