Complete 8 Volume Setin 2 SlipcasesGibbon, Edward. The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire. Complete 8 Vol. set in 2 slipcases. London: Folio Society, vol. I: MCMLXXXIII [1983], sixth printing, 1997 - vol. VIII: MCMXC [1990], seventh printing, 1998. It appears this set was made from more than one printing. Each volume is 6 5/8\" x 9 15/16. CONDITION: The books have light staining to the spines of volumes I, II and III. Also, there is a bump to the upper, fore-edge corner to the back cover of vol. I. Otherwise, the books are in Very Good condition. The eight volumes are tight and intact with a clean interior --NO MARKINGS by previous owner(s). The slipcases are in Good condition. While the slipcases are intact with no split seams, they do have some wear and light staining and the slipcase for the first volumes has a heavy bump to one corner. The other slipcase has light bumping to the corners. Please examine all twenty-one photographs of this set for a better idea of its condition.
