Bennington Pottery is an icon of New England craftsmanship.Designed by Yusuke Aida - the world renowned Japanese ceramist - and thrown and fired by David Gill - the founder of Bennington Pottery - in the 1950's and early 1960's. It represented some of the best and most innovative dishware of its time and is still made today and sought after by minimalist lovers across the country.
These bowls measures 5" across (6" handle to handle) and 2 1/4" high.
These bowls are theearly vintage production - much heavier and sturdier than the contemporary pieces. They have their original " * " mark (for Yusuke Aida's creative spark) and their " arm and hand " mark (for David Gill's master hand-craftsmanship).
NOTE: These are genuine hand-crafted and kiln-fired pieces. No two are identical. They each have their own individual characteristics and may include minor throwing or firing imperfections and color variations.
