Here is an original unissued East German (DDR) cleaning kit, and they are one of the most extensive cleaning kits ever produced! A few crates of these were recently uncovered after being in military storage since the late 1950s.
These were intended for use with MPi-KM rifles chambered in 7.62x39.
Housed in a metal \"tobacco\" can, these include:
*Canvas or vinyl (pleather) storage pouch
*Cleaning cloth
*Bore brush
*Chamber brush
*Detailing brush
*Combo tool
*Weighted pull cord
*Oil can
Also included is an East German 4-cell \"raindrop\" pattern magazine pouch. These are made of heavy canvas with belt loops and have an additional side pouch for a cleaning kit.
