A genuine Dooney & Bourke Florentine satchel in rich brown vacchetta — the Italian vegetable-tanned leather that darkens and softens the more it is carried, so the bag you get in a year is better than the one that arrives.
It is the real thing and it says so: the back leather plate is stamped GENUINE FLORENTINE VACCHETTA LEATHER and the front plate carries the embossed Dooney & Bourke script logo. Both are photographed close up.
The domed zip-top shape keeps everything in, the rolled leather handles sit comfortably in the hand or the crook of the arm, and side D-rings take a shoulder or crossbody strap when you want your hands free. The navy Dooney & Bourke dust bag is included.
Condition & Details
Pre-owned, structurally sound, with the patina this leather is supposed to develop. Everything I found is listed below and visible in the photographs.
The zip runs cleanly end to end and every piece of hardware is present and working. No rips, no tears, no broken fittings, and the handles are firm where they attach.
What is inside: woven grey lining, a zip wall pocket, slip pockets and a leather key leash with a swivel clip.
Size: approximately 13 in wide x 9 in tall x 6 in deep, plus the handle drop. Treat the measurements as approximate and use the photographs for proportion.
