- Vintage Mid Century 1940\'s-1960\'s Decorative Maria Teresa Style / Murano Style Crystal Glass & Metal Frame 5 Arm Chandelier Hanging Light Fixture with Crystal Prisms. I am not sure of the exact age era on this piece but based on the cloth covered wiring I am thinking 1940\'s-1960\'s.
- Beautiful older light. This is untested. We purchased it as seen. The glass arms have a gold tone metal frame underneath them which I can see the old cream colored cloth wiring (ex photo 11). I am not knowledgeable on wiring but there is what I would say a newer clear plastic covered wiring coming from the top of the light (photo 24) so I am assuming it was partially rewired at some point in time???
- As for physical condition very nice. A little aged dust. I did not find any chips or cracks on the glass frame or glass flower rosettes although there is a lot of glass to this piece so if I did miss anything it would be very small. I did find 1 small chip on a bobeche (photo 9) and a few of the prisms have a small chip/nick consistent with age/use. The metal canopy & chain are a silver tone (photo 22). I have removed all the prisms for shipping so you will need to put them back in place (photo 23). Hooks on prisms have age/bending/out of shape to them. No chips or cracks on the off white plastic candle socket covers.
- As for measurements. It measures approximately 18\" in diameter x 15 1/2\" tall (not including the chain or hanging drop prism ball at the bottom. The prisms alone weigh 2 pound 4 ounces. The combined weight of everything is about 10 pounds (prior to packaging)
- We buy most of our pieces at sales & flea markets, so we may not know the history of the item. We are not antique dealers, collectors or experts. We describe the item along with any flaws the best we can.
