Low 12V can mimic cluster issues but usually won't explain the cluster blinking then dying.Check all fuses (there's a fuse panel under the seat and often one tied to the cluster). Wiggle the big connectors at the cluster and the solenoid while trying to turn on — sometimes a bad connection does this.If those are good, it's almost certainly the cluster.
