For sale is one Carl ZEISS Distagon T* 25mm f/2 ZF.2 Manual Focus Lens for Nikon, with the original Zeiss felt-lined metal lens hood and the original Zeiss front and rear lens caps, all in great condition. There are a few very small silver specs on the black metal focus ring and the black metal lens hood. The Zeiss front lens cap has some scuff marks on the plastic.
The front and rear glass elements are super-clean with no scratches or cleaning marks. There is no fungus or haze on the glass. The Zeiss T* anti-reflective coating on the glass produces great color and contrast, with better separation of subtle details in the shadows.
The manual focus ring glides smoothly and the auto aperture functions perfectly. This is the ZF.2 version with EXIF electronic contacts and the Nikon F AIS metal mount. The auto aperture can be set from the camera body, or can be set manually with the aperture ring on the lens.
I have been using this lens with a manual adapter on the Hasselblad X1D. The image circle of this lens covers the 33x44mm medium format sensor on all 4 sides, with just a bit of clipping and vignetting in the 4 corners. The high accutance and sharp focus of this lens matches the 16-bit medium format sensor very nicely. There are also reports online of people using a 25mm f2 Zeiss Diatagon lens with an adapter on the Fuji GFX medium format camera. Note: The X1D and GFX cameras, and the lens adapters, are not included with the lens being sold in this listing.
