Camera Eye of LIFE is a 1989 photographic collection by Japanese photographer Jun Miki, published in Japan by Shogakukan. This substantial photo book presents Miki’s black-and-white documentary photography and includes sections devoted to America, New York and Boston, a Ford factory, portraits, artists, fellow photographers, and the relationship between America and Japan during the 1950s.
The photographs capture people, everyday life, travel, industry, and postwar social history, giving the volume strong interest for collectors of Japanese photography, documentary photography, and LIFE-era photojournalism.
