The shillings from 1937 to 1951 have two different reverses:
- English reverse (*E*) with lion facing left.
- Scottish reverse (*S*) with lion facing forward.
If you are unfamiliar with British Silver: The shilling isabout the size of a quarter. Up until 1919, it was .925 fine(sterling) silver.Starting in 1920, it was changed to .500 fine silver.
Grading:Please review the pictures and judge the condition for yourself.
