British Hand Painted Landscape Pink Bone China Coffee Cup & Saucer C. 1860-1870sNice antique British bone china coffee cup and saucer. Nicely hand painted with a landscape of an island and mountains on the cup and a building with trees, bushes, and mountain on the saucer framed by a pompadour pink and gold ring. White band in the center with gold scrollwork and net/lattice design. Gold gilding along the edge. Unmarked except for a faint pattern number on the bottom of the saucer. Possibly 2438. Circa 1860s to 1870s.Has some staining and some wear to the gilding and painting, but otherwise good condition. The cup measures approximately 3 7/8 inches wide including the handle x 2 5/8 inches tall.
The saucer measures approximately 5 1/2 inches wide.This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.KX
