You are looking at a new 2011 treasure box from Boyds Bearsand Friends, called Aileen’s Vintage Lamp with Luminous McNibble. It is brandnew and has only been opened for pictures and to examine before listing.
Aileen’s Vintage Lamp is 3 inches high and 1 1/2 inches wide.It is a replica of a vintage hurricane style lamp purchase when electricityfailed due to inclement weather during the hurricane season. Basically, it isan oil lamp with a glass top and the wick controlled by the knob on the side.
As time went by, additions were added, like using differencetypes of glass for different parts, painting flowers, or adding white dots to looklike snow. They were quite popular.
The treasure box has the famous mouse entry door on the rearof the box near the bottom. There is space inside for Luminous to keep warm andhave some light. The gray mouse is 3/4 inches x 7/16 inches. Luminous iswearing a pink bow and holding a pink flower.
On the under of the lid two small flowers were painted toresemble the ones on the outside. It’s a great item to add to your collection. Thetreasure box is a limited first edition which even makes it more special. Thesigned number is 1E/1135.
