Great image from a Tom Hanks classic. Big (1988) is a fantasy‑comedy directed by Penny Marshall and starring Tom Hanks as Josh Baskin, a 13‑year‑old boy magically transformed into an adult after making a wish on a Zoltar machine. The film was produced by Gracie Films and released by 20th Century Fox, becoming a major critical and commercial success with a $18 million budget and $151.7 million box office. It earned Academy Award nominations for Best Actor (Hanks) and Best Original Screenplay, and its famous FAO Schwarz giant piano scene remains one of the most iconic moments of 1980s cinema. This original press photo is in excellent condition.
Publicity stills were taken on and off set and were created to help studios advertise films. They were sent to media outlets and included with press kits and made available at press screenings. They often included iconic scenes from films and have become very collectible pieces of film memorabilia.
