The Model

Condition

The Real Car

The Ferrari 250 LM, styled by Pininfarina and built by Scaglietti, was Ferrari\'s mid-engined successor to the front-engined 250 GT racers. Denied GT-class homologation by the FIA, the 250 LM raced as a prototype but proved decisive at Le Mans in 1965, taking a clean sweep of the podium\'s top positions for Ferrari\'s ninth and, to date, last overall win in the race. This example, chassis 5895, was entered by the UK\'s Maranello Concessionaires and driven by Lucien Bianchi and Mike Salmon to third place overall, the best-placed of the three works-aligned 250 LMs that year.
