The warranty covers the transmission assembly against internal mechanical failure during normal use. The warranty is limited to repair, replacement, or refund of the purchased transmission at ETW Auto Parts’ discretion. WARRANTY REQUIREMENTS The transmission must be installed by a qualified repair facility and installation must follow the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended procedures. The transmission cooler and cooler lines must be thoroughly flushed or replaced prior to installation. The transmission must be filled to the manufacturer’s specified level using OEM transmission fluid or an equivalent fluid that specifically meets the vehicle manufacturer’s required specification for that transmission. Universal or incorrect transmission fluid that does not meet the required specification must not be used. Filters, seals, gaskets, and other normal service items must be replaced as necessary. Any required programming, coding, relearn, adaptation, or software procedures must be completed. IF A PROBLEM OCCURS Contact ETW Auto Parts before removing, disassembling, returning, or disposing of the transmission. A warranty claim may require documentation from the installing or diagnosing repair facility showing the vehicle information, mileage, symptoms, diagnostic findings, trouble codes, and reason the transmission is believed to have failed. A transmission will not be considered defective based solely on a visual opinion or assumption. Reasonable diagnostic testing must be performed to establish an internal transmission failure. ETW Auto Parts must be given a reasonable opportunity to review the diagnosis and determine the appropriate warranty resolution before additional repairs or replacement are authorized. THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER: Labor or installation/removal charges; diagnostic charges; towing; rental vehicles; fluids or filters; programming or relearn charges; external electrical components, sensors, switches, mounts, lines, hoses, or wiring; damage caused by improper installation, incorrect or non-specification fluid, contaminated cooler or cooler lines, overheating, abuse, misuse, racing, collision, or failure of another vehicle component; or incidental or consequential expenses. The transmission must not be discarded or scrapped while a warranty claim is pending. Failure to retain the transmission or provide it for return or inspection when requested may void the warranty. Any return must include the same transmission originally supplied by ETW Auto Parts. Identification marks, tags, and/or serial numbers must remain intact. This warranty applies to the original purchaser and transmission sold and is subject to the terms stated in this listing.
