Vintage Navajo hand-loomed wool rug / small saddle blanket. Measuring approximately 16 x 38 inches long, this small-scale accent textile is an exceptional piece of Southwestern Native American artisan weaving.
The design features a soft cream field dominated by an impressive, elongated vertical layout of stacked serrated geometric diamonds woven in rich maroon/burgundy and variegated handspun grey wool. The central composition is elegantly framed by natural, handspun brown wool outer borders with dark horizontal accent stripes at the head and foot.
