Up for sale is a vintage Aurora Comic Scenes Tonto all-plastic assembly model kit, Kit No. 183, featuring Tonto from The Lone Ranger. This kit is factory sealed in original shrink wrap and dates to 1974.
This classic Aurora Comic Scene kit includes a 7” Tonto figure molded in “buckskin” brown plastic, along with an eagle, terrain base with tree, cactus, and rattlesnake. The box artwork showcases the iconic comic-style illustration, and the kit originally included an 8-page comic, detailed instructions, and a 3-D backdrop mural for display (contents presumed complete due to factory seal).
A fantastic collectible for vintage model kit builders, Aurora collectors, and Lone Ranger memorabilia fans. Sealed examples like this are increasingly difficult to find.
Paint and cement were not included when new.
