Stunning! Antique yellow sapphire ring. 2 carat center stone, old european cut. This gorgeous, pale yellow sapphire is all natural, unheated, untreated in any way and has the most lovely transparency and cut. It is a chunky old stone with the most beautiful profile and it is at least 100 years old. The ring is marked for 14k but tests as slightly lower as typical during the Victorian era where mixing alloys wasn’t always precise. There is an inscription inside that says “Florence”The ring measures as a size 6.5 on the mandril but fits a 6.25 finger comfortably. This is a very old ring and gemstone so there are signs of age and wear such as tiny scratches, imperfections and little nicks to the stone seen under magnification. Nothing major, nothing that deters from its beauty and antiquity. A true antique of incredible rarity.
