Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: One of a kind Antique American Folk Art. This is a hand drawn pen and ink 19th Century Victorian Ornamental Penmanship drawing of an American Eagle with banner and shield. Probably dates around 1850-1870s. Old possibly original 1840s or 1850s Faux Bois (grain painted) frame with very very wavy bubble glass. Lots of streaks, bubbles and waves in the 1840s glass.  Has old probably original wood backboard with cut nails holding in place ( a few nails replaced). This is an original penwork and was hand done. Nice pretty large size. Very nicely done with beautiful detail. Has a flying American eagle, with banner on a shield with stars and stripes. Great Folk Art look. Unsigned.  Antique. Around 150 years old. Good condition for age. Paper has allover toning and is now a cream color. A few small spots of foxing. Ink is slightly faded. Probably original Faux Bois grain painted frame from the 1849s or 1850s. Some slight wear and scratches on faux woodgrain as expected age and use. Glass is original and very wavy with straw lines and bubbles.  This is ready to hang. A great piece of early Victorian Americana Folk Art.  One of a kind.
