For sale is a beautiful, authentic 25-piece partial tea and dessert service in the highly coveted \"Cyprus\" pattern (Pattern #8899). Manufactured in Cobridge, Staffordshire by renowned Victorian master potters William Brownfield & Sons during the height of the Aesthetic Movement (circa 1880).

This striking historic design features an intricate transfer-printed geometric floral mandala. It is finished on an elegant \"Ivory\" earthenware clay body with painted accents in rich cobalt blue, lime green, and delicate gold rim gilding.

INVENTORY & EXACT DIMENSIONS:

• 8 Dessert / Salad Plates: 8” diameter. Features the full expansive border pattern. Complete printed factory trademark banners present on the bases.

• 11 Teacup Saucers: 5” diameter. Deeply impressed with the official \"IVORY\" factory clay-body stamp on reverse. Includes five additional replacement saucers.

• 3 Teacups (Pristine Condition): 2.5\" base diameter / approx. 3.5\" top rim diameter. Hand-painted iron-red pattern number 8899 on bottom. Fully intact, clean interiors, no chips, cracks, or repairs. Very rare to find loose in this condition.

• 3 Teacups (Cabinet Display Only): Matching dimensions. These three pieces feature structural hairline fractures and historic tea-tannin bleeding beneath the glaze. Included to complete a full visual cabinet display service for six.

CONDITION REPORT:

Overall Excellent Antique Condition for its 140+ year age. The transfer graphics remain exceptionally crisp and the hand-painted enamels are bright and vivid. Glaze retains a brilliant, high-gloss sheen.

As noted above, three of the cups contain historic hairline fractures and interior tea staining. Certain areas around the outer plate edges show minor, age-appropriate enamel dulling and slight surface rubbing. No major chips or professional restorations detected.
