Beautiful set of 3 antique/vintage white embroidered linens, each measuring approximately 18” x 12”.
These delicate pieces are made from a fine, sheer linen-like fabric and feature elaborate white-on-white floral embroidery, decorative openwork/lace borders and fine drawn-thread-style detailing. Small embroidered dots accent the outer borders.
Each linen has a slightly different floral design, yet all three coordinate beautifully. The workmanship is especially pretty when viewed against a darker surface, where the intricate open areas and embroidery really stand out.
These may originally have been used as placemats, tray cloths or decorative table linens. With no maker’s label or provenance available, their exact age, origin and fiber content are unknown.
