Antique RARE 1916 Bridge Cutlery Co. "5-In-1" Kitchen Multi-Tool St. Louis, MO For Sale

Up for sale is a rare primitive piece of early 20th-century culinary history: a 1916 5-in-1 Kitchen Multi-Tool manufactured by the Bridge Cutlery Co. out of St. Louis, Missouri. Long before modern pocket gadgets, this ingenious heavy-duty utensil combined five essential kitchen prep functions into a single, robust cast or forged metal implement. PLEASE NOTE: This tool originally came with a small, crescent-shaped retractable ice shaver attachment that secured through the curved slot in the center of the blade. This particular piece does NOT come with the tool. Many don't have that piece anymore, having been lost throughout the last century.Overall: Good antique condition with a heavy, authentic aged patina, some surface oxidation, and wear consistent with a kitchen tool that is over a century old. Details: The edges show historical use. Originally, the maker's mark and use designation was imprintedon the blade, but it is worn and very faint in most places. It is extremely hard to see, especially in photos. The text, "CAP LIFTER," is the clearest on the blade. The other designations, "ICE SHAVER, CLEAVER, MEAT TENDERER," are not really visible.The handle has good integrity without splits or cracks. It is tight and structurally solid.
