19th century wooden firkin sugar bucket with lid and pegged swinging bentwood handle. Original milk paint is mostly worn off on outside leaving raw wood with paint remnants on inside. Some staining on wood, so Please look carefully at photos There is no maker stamp. Built using wood staves held together by overlapping wood hooping pinned with small iron nails. The fitted flush lid and bentwood bail handle are in good condition. The bucket is approximately 9.5 inches tall and 10 inch diameter at the base. The bucket has not been cleaned or oiled.
