Appears to have be a hand forged blade. Marked SB on one side. By its appearance it does appear to be an antique. Handle looks turned and is well attached to the blade. Handle does have a split. Brass ferrule on end of the handle is loose. Blade has some corrosion pitting, blemishes and what look to be forge marks. Unk. its exact purpose or maker other than the SB mark. Not sure of the tang length. A very interesting knife/spear type item that would invite conversation as to its original use or purpose. Approx. 14 1/2\" in length.. 14.6 oz in weight.
