Antique Primitive American Folk Art 1836 Painting Print Mourning Tuttle Davis:

This is a beautiful antique print. And considering age it’s in very good condition. There are some age spots or what you might refer to his discoloration throughout. I do not believe this is the original frame by any means. Most of the original frames were gold, leaf, and or Plain gold bordered. This is a wood frame with black paper and a gold edge for an inner border. It features a glass front as well. I personally love the way the frame looks in this compared to other others I’ve seen. There are a few scratches to the frame. You can see the most obvious ones towards the bottom right front. There is also some torn paper in the back of the frame. Obviously this is non-visual so it doesn’t affect anything. This last came from a smoke-free home. We don’t know the entire history. I just know the last family history. I’ve seen this print a few times it’s not rare. But it certainly is old and this is not a recent reprint by any means.
