Antique Nippon Hand-Painted Moriage Covered Urn Vase – 13”
Offered is a beautiful antique Nippon hand-painted covered urn featuring elaborate raised moriage decoration, elegant double scroll handles, and its original matching lid. Standing approximately 13 inches tall with the lid in place, this impressive decorative porcelain piece showcases exceptional craftsmanship with soft celadon green tones, richly textured raised enamel detailing, and delicate hand-painted violet and wheat floral motifs.
This vase was acquired from the Lighthouse Estate through Hall Hunt sales and was part of an estate collection containing numerous high-quality antique decorative pieces and art glass. While the original maker’s mark has worn away over time, the quality of construction and decoration is consistent with antique Nippon porcelain produced during the late 19th to early 20th century.
The raised moriage work creates remarkable texture across the entire surface, while the matching lid and substantial weight make this an outstanding display piece for collectors of antique Japanese porcelain.

Condition
Very good antique display condition. The original matching lid is included. There is a small chip on the underside rim of the lid (see photos). The chip is not visible when the lid is in place and does not detract from the vase’s display. The body has a
hair line cracks on opening top not noticeable unless you're looking inside the piece or no major repairs that I can detect. Minor age-related wear, light discoloration, and manufacturing imperfections consistent with antique hand-painted porcelain are present. Please review all photographs carefully, as they are part of the description and accurately represent the item’s condition.
