Antique 19th century miniature painting on porcelain with Sorrento inlaid wood frame.
It is signed, but I can’t tell what it says, it is painted on porcelain, not sure what type of paint is used.
Frame size is 7” tall x 5 1/2” long x 1/2” wide. Oval portrait window measures 3 5/8” tall x 2 7/8” wide.
I am not sure if the domed cover over the portrait is plastic or glass.
Someone, cut the fabric on the back so u can see the construction. It has a wire and eyelets attached that appear to be of modern origin, this was probably originally displayed on an easel.
This dates between 1850-1890.
No damage, very nice example.
