Antique Meissen Blue Onion 9” Square Bowl & Thun Klösterle Form Meissen 10” Bowl – Both Repaired Square 9-inch bowl — blue crossed swords: This is the trademark of the actual Meissen porcelain manufactory in Saxony, Germany. Assuming the mark is genuine and not crossed through with cancellation lines, this is the more collectible and valuable piece.* Round 10-inch bowl — green “THUN KLÖSTERLE / FORM MEISSEN” stamp: This was manufactured by the Thun porcelain factory in Klösterle, then Czechoslovakia. “Form Meissen” means it uses a Meissen-style form or design—it does not mean Royal Meissen manufactured it. Comparable examples with this mark are generally attributed to approximately 1933–1945. Condition: Both pieces have small older repairs. The square bowl has a repaired crack with visible metal staple repairs, and the round bowl has a small repaired area along the rim. Additional age-related wear, light discoloration and surface marks may be present. Please review all photographs carefully, as the repairs are clearly shown and form part of the description.Despite the damage, these remain striking display pieces and appealing examples of the classic Blue Onion design.
