Antique Late 18th Early 19th c. Silver ? Red Leather Man\'s Wallet Purse M217 For Sale

Late 18th or very early 19th c. wallet or purse, red leather with silver colored metal mounts - untested - decoration. Opens to a green silk interior. Red leather accordion sides. Clasp tab is brass. Clasp button does move up and down but it does not engage the tab.Leather is in very good to very fine condition, light wear and has not been cleaned. Missing some silk lining at the tops.Silver metal is not marked, untested, but tarnish does rub off. It has not been recently polished. Missing some leaf and berry border decoration, which is also silver. Of the 15 1/2\'\' of straight side border, front and back, 2 3/4\'\' total are missing.
Measures 4 5/8\'\' x 3 1/8\'\' closed. 7\'\' open, with the flap up.
