Offered is an authentic early 1900s Kellogg candlestick desk telephone featuring its original black japanned finish, nickel-plated fittings, cloth-covered cords, and original receiver and transmitter components. This is an attractive, honest example that retains the character and patina collectors appreciate.
The transmitter housing is marked with Kellogg patent dates:
* Nov. 26, 1901
* March 19, 1907
* April 14, 1908
The receiver still contains its original electromagnetic receiver element, and the transmitter assembly appears to be original as well. The base retains its original switchhook mechanism and cloth wiring. The phone has not been polished or restored, preserving its authentic antique appearance.
This telephone has not been tested for operation and is being sold as a collectible display piece. Please review all photos carefully to judge condition and completeness for yourself.
