A beautiful antique Japanese cloisonné enamel vase, likely dating from the late Meiji to early Taishō period, circa 1900–1920.
This refined small vase features a wonderfully detailed songbird perched among flowering plum branches and colorful garden flowers, set against a lovely light-blue enamel ground. The decoration is executed in very fine silver wire, with especially nice detail and shading in the bird’s feathers, branches, blossoms, and foliage.
The graceful form, narrow neck, and clean silver-colored base make this a particularly elegant display piece. A quality antique Japanese cloisonné vase with strong color, careful workmanship, and a peaceful natural design.
