Antique Hand-Carved Spanish Revival Table – Barley Twist Legs For Sale

Beautiful and highly unusual early 20th-century hand-carved table featuring extensive floral, foliate and architectural-style carving.
This substantial piece has an impressive amount of hand-carved detail, including three large carved floral/rose motifs, surrounding leaves and foliage, decorative fan-style corner carvings, barley-twist/spiral legs, carved stretchers, and numerous tiny punched starburst/rosette carvings throughout the flat areas of the wood.
The overall design appears consistent with Spanish Colonial / Spanish Revival or related Renaissance Revival furniture, likely dating approximately to the early 1900s–1930s. The exact country of manufacture and maker have not been definitively identified.There is an old, partially deteriorated paper label attached to the underside.Portions of the label appear to contain Spanish-language printing, although much of the original text has worn away. The label has been left exactly as found.
The table also appears to have originally been designed to accommodate a glass top. The glass is no longer present.
CONDITIONThis piece is being sold in vintage/antique condition with age-appropriate wear.
There are worn edges, scratches, abrasions, discoloration, and areas of rougher wood consistent with age and previous use. Please examine all photographs carefully.
The finish has been left in its original aged condition. I have not stripped or refinished the piece because the existing wood grain, patina, and wear patterns give it a great deal of character.
For someone who prefers a more finished appearance, this would be an excellent candidate for careful restoration/refinishing. Alternatively, collectors and decorators who appreciate original aged furniture may prefer to leave the finish exactly as it is.
