Up for sale is a magnificent antique/vintage German hand-carved wooden decorative centerpiece sleigh.
This heavy, robust piece features exquisite Alpine craftsmanship, showcasing a hand-carved maiden figure seated prominently at the front over beautiful, looping iron runners.
The back panel features beautiful, traditional Bavarian Bauernmalerei (peasant style) hand-painted floral art, highlighted by a central multi-layered white daisy motif with delicate dot-work accenting and dark fluid structural scroll layers over an aged golden-amber patina background.
Condition: Excellent vintage/antique condition with exceptional structural integrity. The original iron framework is tightly secured to the carved wood body with original, clean flush-mounted fasteners. The seat remains securely attached with old nails. It features a true, untouched historic patina complete with deep attic dust and minor debris in the deep crevices that collectors look for to verify genuine storage age. Metal rails show a gorgeous, natural rusted patina.
Perfect as a high-end rustic holiday centerpiece, Christmas mantle display, or standalone piece of European folk art.
