Antique French Renaissance Style Hand-Carved Oak Chimera / Horned Beast Devil Wall Bracket Corbel .
Masterfully hand-carved from a single block of dense, high-quality oak, this substantial bracket centers around a powerful, high-relief mythical creature—depicting a horned chimera, gargoyle, or stylized satyr beast. It serves as a stunning standalone statement piece or a luxurious support for a mantel, shelf, or architectural beam.
High-Relief Horned Beast Carving: The focal point is a fiercely expressive, hand-carved mythical mask featuring an intense gaze, pronounced animalistic features, and two distinct sweeping horns curved along the brow. The open jaw seamlessly transitions into the architectural body of the corbel.
The sides are flanked by heavy, stylized architectural scrollwork (volutes) and deep acanthus leaf motifs. The lower portion terminates in two carved floral buds flanking a central, pointed shield-leaf finial.

Excellent antique condition. The wood is structurally sound, stable, and completely solid. The hand-carved details remain crisp and remarkably sharp, showing only minor age-appropriate surface scuffs, tiny edge chips, and natural contractions that enhance its historic authenticity.
IMPORTANT INFO. Dear customers. I used to keep my store in Spain and work from Europe. The high import taxes and new tariffs implemented by the US government made it impossible to continue. Shipping costs to the US have doubled since September 1st 2025, and the added import tax for US customers means the business from Europe simply doesn't make financial sense anymore.
