26” German Bisque Armand Marseille 390 Doll with Original Articulated Body
26” (66 cm.) Bisque socket head with very full rounded facial modeling, beautiful complexion with softly blushed cheeks, painted upper and lower lashes, feathered brows, lovely fixed blue paperweight-style glass eyes, accented nostrils, open mouth with porcelain teeth, and original antique character.

The bisque head is without observed cracks.
She is presented upon her original German fully jointed composition and wood body, of substantial size and well-proportioned to the head, with articulated shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips and knees. The body retains its original finish and is stamped Germany.
Especially noteworthy are her very well-preserved hands and fingers, with the delicate original red painted detail lines still apparent. Her feet remain in good condition, showing the expected surface wear of age without noted damage.
There is a minor old repair at the right knee/leg, shown in the photographs. The doll remains fairly well strung, although her knees will not reliably support her weight for freestanding display. A proper doll stand is recommended.
She is wonderfully presented in a newly handmade dress fashioned from imported European cotton, chosen to complement the period and coloring of the doll. The dress maker\'s tag will accompany the doll but is not attached.
The dress features a generous decorative collar which may be worn in two ways. It is shown tucked within the neckline in the first photographs and displayed fully outside the dress in subsequent photographs.
She wears a particularly becoming chocolate-brown vintage synthetic wig, arranged with full bangs and large sausage curls. The vintage wig retains its tag attached to the interior. It is a replacement wig, not original to the doll, but is period-appropriate in appearance and fits her very well.
A replacement pate is also included. The pate is not original to the doll. Both pate and wig are removable.
Completing her presentation is her charming vintage gold-toned country mouse brooch with ruby-colored eyes, worn at her shoulder and included with the doll.
A beautifully presented, large-size example of the classic Armand Marseille 390, with sound-appearing bisque, striking blue glass eyes, original articulated German body, unusually nice hands and a particularly appealing display presence.

The removable wig and pate will be secured and packed appropriately to help ensure that she arrives safely.
