Very rare book, unstated, but by Nathaniel Hawthorne, an adaption of his \"Celestial Railroad\" with railroad illustration frontispiece adjacent to the title page. Book is likewise not dated, but according to research is the circa 1844 American Sunday --School Union first edition. Exterior of the book is overall clean and well intact with rubs to the upper and lower ends of the spine and outer corner edges of the boards. Front endpaper has handwritten pencil gift inscription dated 1869. Interior of the book is overall clean with some soiling, foxing or other minor age wear to pages that remain sturdy. Book\'s binding is tight and well intact and the book is complete with all pages present and none coming loose, detached or missing. Book has no odors.
Book totals 54 pages, measures approximately 6 x 4 x 3/16 inches and weigh about 3 ounces.
